[Resolved] [Plugin: FPW Category Thumbnails] Category Names vs IDs

Let me start off by saying that this plugin is great. I only have one issue and that is that it determines the category strictly by name instead of category ID. This becomes a problem if you have categories with the same display name.

For example I have two categories with the same name, just sub categories of a different parent category. The problem is this plugin will assign the picture to only one of the two categories and completely disregards the other. It doesn’t even show them in the list.

Since category IDs are 100% guaranteed to be unique the assignment of an image should go to the actual category ID instead of the name. Is this something that would be fairly easy to change?

Without this the plugin only 1/2 works for me.

As a suggestion, but not a functionality item, could the list of categories be organized so that their parent child relation shows. Just make it more tree like

    Cat 1
    Cat 2
    – Subcat 1
    – Subcat 2
    Cat 3

    Thanks a ton.
