I have got the impression that koko analytics does not work properly.
There are weeks it seems that nobody is visiting my side (It happened just after I passed a lot of business cards to a lot of people) and suddenly (after weeks) the counts are okay and they stay like this for a couple of weeks and than it changes again for next weeks.
Does anybody know the problem ? How can I solve it?
    Thanks a lot

    Danke euch

Until now I haven’t got wp crown /cron? Shall I install it?

Wp-cron is build into WordPress by default, there is normally no need to install it separately.

When koko does work, does it show a higher peak of traffic at first? If wp-cron isn’t working properly it’s possible that Koko collects data but doesn’t process it. Once you visit the Koko settings it then processes all the stored data at once and it looks like you had a lot of visits in 1 day.

Is that what’s happening for you?

    Hi lap,

yes, I know that I had a lot visits the one day, but suddenly koko stopped collecting data (and it still doesn’t work … In some weeks it will start again for sure). This is a little bit anoying, because you can not find out which products the customers are interested in. So what is your suggestion? Thanks

So is that what happens in your case, that you see all the visits from the period that didn’t count show up on 1 day? If that is the case it might be an issue with Wp-Cron and I can help you investigate that further. But if it just shows the normal amount of daily visits even on the first day after it didn’t count any visits for awhile it might be some other issue.

    Thanks for letting me know.

Sorry, for being late. It seems that the plugin count only certain viewers (like viewers who use tablet ….or viewers coming from abroad)
It counts only a few viewers (usually it is a lot more). I had the same situation end of April/May . And that was really strange, because I went on a fair passed a lot of visit cards and seems that nobody of these visitors looked at the site.
So come back to the technical stuff: what shall I do?

    Hello,

Can you please install the plugin “Advanced Cron Manager” and then check if there is a cron task for our plugin?

    (@sabetti)

    and

    koko_analytics_prune_data

once a day … without any argument

    what shall I do?

If you go to the Koko settings screen and click save settings,, does that create the cron task?

    Thanks for letting me know.

    (@sabetti)

I saved the settings, but it doesn’t create the cron task ! (It create nothing

    Thread Starter sabetti

    (@sabetti)

Advanced cron tells me koko is “in queue”

    (@sabetti)

The event does not existe anymore

that is the message I received from
    koko_analytics_aggregate_stats

    What shall I do?

    Any suggestion? any idea?
Koko collects only a certain users (not all of them)
The way koko works in the moment, it makes no sense to me.

I don’t think it’s the case that Koko counts viewers based on the device they use. But is it possible that koko shows a lower count than other tracking mechanisms because koko respects “do not track” setting in the browser while most other analytics tools just ignore this setting.

When I visit your site, as far as I can tell from the visitor side of things koko is working properly and tracking visits.

I asked you before if it’s the case that you have 0 visitors shown for awhile and then a sudden high number of visitors when koko starts working again (indicating a wp cron issue) or if the number is more stable but just lower than you expected?

You base the expectation of the higher visitors on the amount of cards you gave out? Or do you have a secondary tracking tool that shows wildly different numbers?
