Plugin for image hover effects not working with theme

Hello there!

I’m totally new to using wordpress, so please forgive me for being a n00b and if this post is not in the right place…

I’m making a website using the theme Rosa. I need to add images with a hover effect so I used the plugin “amazing hover effects”. Unfortunately it doesn’t work. When trying to use the plugin to insert an image the screen turns transparent black but no pop-up shows up to select the effect etc. When deactivating all the plugins except “amazing hover effects” is does work, so my guess is that it doesn’t work together with the other plugins. I reactivated the plugins one by one and PixCodes seems to be the problem, but that plugin is required to run the theme. I’ve tried using other plugins for hover effects but none seem to work and I’m getting somewhat desperate! Is there any way to fix this or maybe someone knows a plugin that does work? Any help would be very very much appreciated!
