Support » Fixing WordPress » Plugin for auto Alt text for images (copy from title)

  • Hello,

Is there a plugin that copy the title text of a photo and put it as your alt text? I have seen that there is some pluging that do it but dynamically, this does not work for me because for SEI it does not work for improve, I needed a plugin that would copy it to the alt value of the image, go to media, open the photo and appear there.

    Thank you.

  • Hello there,

I can suggest you a plugin that is “Auto Image Attributes From Filename With Bulk Updater”. Please try this plugin.
    Hope this will help!

    Thank you.

Slightly different question, but also about Alt test: right now, on new posts, only the Alt text shows up and not the image (which I can see in the draft but not the preview or the published post).

    Anyone else having this issue?

This is the one that works better:

    https://es.wordpress.org/plugins/update-alt-attribute/

By other way, I had seen one but I can not find it now, what it does is edit the images that were posted on a page or post directly and put the alt there, since sometimes the visual builders doesnt load the alt that are established from the media, some idea of which plugin can do that?

    Thank you!

I use “Auto Image Attributes From Filename With Bulk Updater” exclusively. It is a standard install of all of my sites, and it’s FREE!

It certainly helps my workflow. Here’s a recent implementation of it. Inspect the images, and you’ll see they’re populated, and I didn’t have to do a thing!
