• I’m using flickr-gallery 1.4.0 with WordPress 3.0.1 to display my Private flickr photos on my blog. The plugin settings for “Flickr API Secret” and “Authentication Token” make it possible to share my private photos. It works great!

I’d like to be able to embed a flickr slideshow in the same fashion, but it doesn’t appear possible (at this time, anyway). Does anyone know if this is possible with this plugin or another?

    Thanks,
    Matt

  • hi

I cannot help with your issue but was wondering if you can help me to configure the plugin to get the Private photos to show when calling a set=”123456789″ type call with the shortcode?

I entered the secret and the API key, and clicked generate token, but it fails as the callback URL doesnt seem to work. What wordpress URL did you put in – wp-admin/index.php ?

many thanks – be interested to know if you fixed your issue too!

    cheers

    Hi battez,

I’m currently using WP 3.0.5 and Flickr Gallery 1.5.2.

I’ve set my Callback URL to:
    http://www.my-website.com/wp-admin/

I see you have “index.php” on yours. Maybe simply drop that from the Callback URL.

    I hope that helps.

I’m all set, btw, with the slideshows. You can embed them in your WP blog but only the Public photos will show. I was trying to get embed slideshows to work with Private photos. I decided to just do the light box with Private photos.

hi thanks Serious fun – got it now! mega 🙂 cheers. I have another problem now – I am trying to get the shortcode into my template and then take the value of the set-id from a custom field in the admin interface so that it is easier for users to say which set it is. I reckon I can figure it out though!
