• I read this thread about why the plugin only uses medium size images: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/253482?replies=7

Basically saying that you’d need to do too many API calls to check each image to see if a larger size exists since not everyone has larger images and/or premium accounts.

That’s fair enough. However… I *DO* have large images for every image. Why not add this feature so it’s an option for those who *DO* have large images? Why punish everyone? LOL

The plugin is simply amazing. Head and shoulders above all the other Flickr plugins I looked at. I’m just not loving the small images. The beauty of a “lightbox” is that it can fill your entire screen with a big beautiful image. Many of them will even scale the image down for those who are not using a 27″ monitor. LOL.

I absolutely agree. This is the most disappointing and dealbreaking part of the flickr gallery plugin for me..

The next version of the plugin is going to have an option that will allow you to display the largest version of the photo available from Flickr that the user’s monitor can display.

If you are sure that you’ve got only large images or bigger you could use this little bit of tweaking in the plugin.

It’s Dutch, but it is very short and you really can figure it out. Isn’t really hard.

    Hi Dan,

Could you tell us when are you planning to release the new version of your plugin?

I am using it for a photographer’s website and she is asking if her pictures could be bigger.

I tried Rik’s fix, but it didn’t work.
I tried it with “_o” (which I figured out to be the Large size ending) instead of “_b” but didn’t work either.

    Thanks!

    Johanna
