    Hi Mr. Limpet,

What you need to do is create a quick search (in your MLS account) with no property type selected, then save it as IDX link. Then go into the IDX settings, copy the link that you created and paste it into the flexmls IDX url field in the flexMLS IDX plugin options.

    Hi Max,

Thank you for your excellent plug-in!

I tried your “quick search” method, but no luck. Flex requires at least one Property Type to be selected or I get an alert. I have an email into FlexMLS so we’ll see what they say. Maybe it’s an issue with our version of Flex here in the Virgin Islands?

Eric, our flexMLS was down, I wasn’t able to confirm the details while answering to you. Yes, I have property type “residential” selected as well by default. Since we don’t offer rental services, we have residential and then the property type setting in the plugin reflects the “Dwelling” criteria in the IDX. So, all properties are residential, but the dwelling type can be Single Family Home, Patio Home, Condo, Townhouse etc. So, disregard the Property Type criteria in the IDX and see if you have something like Dwelling Type – that’s what my plugin should be filtering.

I looked at your IDX again, and it seems to me you should be using the SubType criteria to filter your rentals. Ask FlexMLS guys to email you the Sub Type field handle (the variable name) and the keys or values for it.
