I like flexi pages, and would love it except for one thing.
When I click on the link on the side bar on my page, it goes to the url ending in a page ID instead of the postname. I’m not using the url to my site, since I don’t want to get into trouble for trying to use it as a portal. I put in URL where my site address would be.
The page Id url always reverts back to the homepage.
Is there a work around or another plugin like flexi pages?
Is there something I else I can do with the permilink besides using the default page ID?
I like the pretty post name, but I heard that could have problems with large sites. Should I change the permalink anyhow? I’m still at the point where I can do this.
Note, since I’m transfering my site into wordpress, I have the static homepage set to index.html and not the wordpress home page. I did this so my site isn’t down while transferring it, and I could create the parent and subpages. Would that have any effect?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
