  • PS2: I recommend to notify about the requirement of curl in the changelog so that users will know before trying to install.

What’s your recommendation on where to put this recommendation? It’s not that there is no notification about it. People don’t seem to notice it…

permissions-error is fixed in the next update. sorry about that. (It currently redirects to a non-existing page)

sorry, I have checked now again on
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flattr/
and I cannot find it in the Changelog, Faq, Other Notes, …
I really must admit that I simply cannot find it.

Uhm, actually … I’m sorry. You’re right about that. The notification somehow didn’t make it into the readme. I’ll insert it at once!

Then again, cURL is only required if one wants to use the autosubmit feature or button in the rss feed. Basic functionality is not affected by a missing cURL extension.

    great, thanks

The message should be gone by now. (Re)Connection and (Re)Authorization should work now.

There’s still the browser cache problem I have to get my head arround I think. Please provide feedback 🙂 🙂 🙂

I just upgraded to 0.9.21.1, the auto-submission check box is greyed out. I have tried re-connection and re-authorization. The permissions-error does appear to be fixed.

    Well, I get the message:

“You are not allowed to access this part of the site” on WordPress after I clicked the “Accept” Button on flattr.com

    I think it’s a permission problem, isn’t it?

The message should definitly be fixed in 0.9.21.1

“You are not allowed to access this part of the site”

auto-submission check box is greyed out

This only happens when you want to hide stuff from flattr.com (there is no need to autosubmit in the first place?) or advanced setup is not fully completed

Firstly: Michael thanks for your help to answer/respond to these questions/reports. I’m not overly familiar with wordpress or the Flattr API.

I have updated to 0.9.22.2, as before I no longer see any problems with the permissions error. However, the auto-submission check box was still grayed out (I assumed advanced setup not complete). I was able to fix this, by deleting the previous Flattr application I created from the flattr.com website. I then went through the same steps again, created the application then authorized it. This seems to have worked, with some links to the flattr profile and dashboard appearing after authorization. Without saving changes, I then clicked on the tab for advanced settings and was able to check the box for auto-submission.

Strangely when I clicked save changes, and went back to the advanced settings tab, and again the check box was grayed out. I haven’t tested auto-submission yet.

I’m currently chasing a bug that somehow tends to overwrite advanced authorization. Could you please check if for example your profile picture and the link to the dashboard still appears? It’s seems like you have to reauthorize. That should only be click.

    Did that help?

Clicking the “(re-)Authorize with Flattr” link, the page refreshes and I see “Advanced Flattr User Info” appear, this includes the profile info you mention. Next, under the “Advanced settings” tab I am able to check the “Automatic Submission” box. I click save changes, which takes me back to the Basic Setup. Now in the “Authorize App” section, the profile information that was previously shown is gone. Going back to the “Advanced Settings” tab, the “Automatic Submission” box is still checked, but grayed out.

The plugin does appear to be working, I just wasn’t sure if the disappearing profile information and grayed out check box was correct behavior.
