File Gallery
[resolved] Gallery template stuck on default template (6 posts)

    Hi,
I am using file-gallery on a client's site, and we have a testbed site currently. I have created a couple of file-gallery test pages.

One issue I am having is that when I create a gallery, the template seems to always default to the "default" template, even when I have the template set to "file-gallery".

    See this link:

A second question I have is whether there is a way to attach a link to each separate image in a gallery (the way one can normally select a single image, and make it a link).

    Hi Lisa :)

    1) When I click on that link, both galleries have the 'file-gallery' template applied :/ Maybe File Gallery caching is turned on?

    2) Not from the top of my head, but if you could describe the process a bit - how you think it could work, that would certainly help :)

    Hi,

Thank you for your quick response. Appreciated!

    1) I checked. File Gallery caching was not turned on, but I cleared the File Gallery cache just to be certain, and then hit shift-refresh in the browser twice just to be certain. The "default" style is still the one that is displaying. I have taken some screenshots of the admin page settings. Is there a way to email them to you?

I also tried looking at the page in a browser that I don't use very often, and that did not work either.

    2) Let me give your question some thought, and post about that in a day or so.

Please do send me the screenshots at aesqe@skyphe.org, I'll be looking into this problem tomorrow. Thanks :)

I believe I've figured out what the problem is - I didn't clarify well enough what the 'default values' options one the media settings page do.

They just set the default values for the File Gallery box on the post editing page - they don't override the options you put in the shortcode.

However, I could implement that functionality, if needed.

Or did I get it wrong again? :/

I've tried to make it more clear in the help file:
