[Plugin: File Gallery] 2 different pictures for thumbnail and thickbox (4 posts)

is it possible to save 2 different pictures for one thumbnail / thickbox?

Example: I want my thumbnail black and white. When I click on that thumbnail, the same picture should appear colored in the thickbox.

    Thank you for your help!

@gunness: sorry, but File Gallery can't help you with that...

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a plugin for that, one that would allow you to choose different source files for thumbnail/fullsize image.

There's also a CSS3 solution, filters, but it's not really implemented in any other browser other than Chrome Canary (nightly test versions): http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/html-css-techniques/say-hello-to-css3-filters/

Also, take a look at this HTML5/Canvas/JavaScript solution: http://webdesignerwall.com/tutorials/html5-grayscale-image-hover

    Good luck :)

    Hi Aesqe,

    What a bummer!

Thank you very much for your answer.

@gunness Did you find a plugin that can do this? I now have a project where the client is asking for this. She wants a photo gallery with black and white thumbnail images that change to colored when you hover and enlarge. She also wants a non-tech-savvy user to be able to upload new images to swap out.
