Hi, I am trying to install GOTML but every time I activate it gets error: “Plugin file does not exist”

…and files remove from folder. I tried to copy in FTP but when I refresh the WP dashboard plugin is not there.

I cant install Wordfence as well, same issues. There are some malwares but when I clean up my hosting still find some other. Can somebody help what’s going on?

Everything started with GDPR plugin which has hack.

If you can’t install any plugins then you’re going to be pretty stuck. Are you sure that you copied into the right folder in FTP?

Try deleting the whole gotmls directory and then reinstall from the Add New Plugins page in your wp-admin, and activate immediately.

If your host has limited your access permissions or is not helping you fix this then maybe you should move your site to a more helpful and more secure hosting provider, where you can then install my plugin and finish cleaning and protecting the site.

The folder is not there and still can’t install. Same with all other Security plugins. “Plugin file does not exist”

Has your hosting provider locked the permissions so that you can’t add anything, or maybe something else has changed the permissions on the server?

Like I said, you either need your host to help you fix the access to your plugins directory or you need to find a better hosting solution for your site.

I had a similar issue. the GDPR malware actually attaches to your DB, so even if you do get everything installed and then cleaned up the malware will once again take over your system, this includes wordfence, it also blocked many plug-ins from working. Ask your host company to run a scan on your DB or contact comodo (or whatever security company) to get that cleaned. then install and run the GOTML plug in. I run this and wordfence on ALL my sites now. once my db was cleaned everything else was a breeze. Good luck!

yes I clean up the database where the URL was changed. All was working but after wordfence and GOTMLS remove. I asked hosting company to scan the site 3x times I clean up but still the same I cant install GOTMLS.

You still cannot install my plugin or Wordfence?

    Can you install any plugins?

When something on your site fails there should be an entry in the error_log files on your server. Please ask your hosting provider where you can find your Error Logs and review the latest entries after you have attempted another plugin install, then you should see what is causing this problem on your server.
