if you post a link to your site to illustrate the problem, someone might be able to make a suggestion.
or try to use a tool such as Firebug http://getfirebug.com/ to investigate the involved styles.
Ok thanks i’ll put the link up.
Here’s the link: http://www.underthechristmastree.co.uk

Hello,
there is no possibility to align text and images differently than one above each other, since the widget was originally made for a sidebar, where there is usually not much space.
If you want to have alignment of the text left or right of the thumbnail, you either change lines 360 to 366 to something more suitable for you or you wait patiently for an update of the plugin with a new feature.
Greetings,
Stefan
Update,
of course I ment the file FP_WidgetClass.php and in some cases it is enough to get rid of the <div style="clear: both;"></div>
in line 330 of the same file.
Next update: The next version of the plugin will be much more customizable and soon available
Consider it done with version 3.3 of the plugin.
Choose to display the excerpt under, left of, right of the thumbnail or not at all.
Hello There,
I have downloaded the plugin and installed but the image resizing (thumb) is not working. Any reason for this to be happening.
Best,
David
Hello David,
did you choose a picture from the post? The resizing of the thumbnail is only working if you give a number of an image that is in the post. If you fall back to the post thumbnail, WordPress will do everything according to your settings; the size of the image will not be changed. If you choose e.g. ‘1’ as number of the image, the first image that appears in the post will be taken to the widget and will be resized.
Best,
Stefan
Hi,
Thanks the alignment worked perfect. I have a question about adding text with a background colour to it using the css at the bottom of the widget. I’ve tried a few different codes but cant seem to get it to work. Any idea as to how I would go about doing this?
Thanks.
Hi,
the css in the widgets settings is only styling the widget container. It will be difficult to get text styled, since you can’t really style the fonts.
It might be that the speacial teaser widget is in that case better for your needs bacause it is more flexible with the styles. But it misses out on the alignment of text and thumbnail (unless you define a style for it) and might conflict with other styles.
I’ll have time to change the plugin’s code next week. But not before.
Regards,
Stefan
