Support » Fixing WordPress » [Plugin: Facebook Tab Manager] Taller tab being truncated

  • I have searched your site and WP forums and cannot find instructions for this.

My tab is being truncated by FB.
It displays fine in the preview on my site.
There is nothing different about the point at which it truncates (no code or unusual embeds).

In IE6 I get scroll bars and I can scroll to see the rest of the content (would prefer no scroll bars and the full length page),
but in FF and Chrome (latest versions) there are no scroll bars.
Also in IE6 there is a horizontal scroll bar – yetch 😛

I would have thought this had something to do with the setting “Set resize/autoresize (for tabs taller than 800 pixels)” but that checkbox makes no difference in any of the browsers.

    Heres the FB page

I have seen other FB tab pages which are taller than mine so Im really puzzled as to what is happening.

I am creating this for a book launch that is coming up real soon so please help ASAP.

    All the best ~

  • Double check that you have selected the resize checkbox for this specific post. This adds a snippet of JavaScript at the bottom of the page that tells Facebook to resize the iFrame for your page tab. I can see that this is not being output correctly.

Also, you need to provide a valid https address for your page tab or some visitors to your page will get an ugly error message.

I have the exact same issue. How did you finally resolve the problem?

Make sure you have the latest release, which updates the JS code to catch up with changes in the Facebook libraries for things like page resizing.
