[Plugin: Facebook Like Button] Problems with facebook sharer

    Last update of this plugin seems to break facebook sharer system, because the facebook preview is not showing the description of the post properly. It takes the title, the url and the image, but into the description block it shows a link with the title text and not the description text.

    I think this behaviour is caused by the last plugin update, because this system was working perfectly before this update. So I would like to know if more people is getting this conflict (for example in the blog of the author of this plugin, you can see the same behaviour with share button, it doesn’t take the description from the post) and if there is a solution.

    Hi sadupa,

    I have to say that I have added some DOCTYPE in my wordpress template, solved some validation problems and it works again, but I’m not sure if my changes are the reason, or maybe Facebook changed some code in the sharer.php file, that broke the sharer functionality of my blog and finally solved the problem.

    In theory, all the process is facebook dependent and the reason could be your resulting HTML code, but maybe the problem it’s only in the facebook side.
