It seems like you copied the github code to a new folder in your plugins folder when you should have overwritten the old plugin files located in wp-content/plugins/facebook
This plugin is starting to pissing me of.
Firt of all – i can not use any other plugin that uses facebook code, even i can’t copy and paste the html code with my FB fanpage – okay, I can live without that.
But, what the hell is that, this plugin is still chainging my Social Publisher from my fanpage to Disabled? It’s too much. And now, tell me what i’ve to do now? Give my Newsmans acces to all settings? It doesn’t sound good for me.
I know that, you’r trying to fix it, but please, hie littlebit.
I have just installed FB plugin 1.0.2, the version that comes when installing from inside FB. I get the same problem of access token expiring when posting to a fan page, and FB plugin disables the fanpage feature. This seems intermittent and happens after only overnight (or perhaps hours). Having to re-enable it almost always, and then manually repost on my fan page defeats the purpose of the social plugin. Add my name to the request for a fix.
I tried the 1.0.3 code listed in a posting above but the linking to account does not work. This was a new install to a website without this plugin (v1.0.2) previously installed. This is running WordPress v3.4.2.
API Error Code: 191
API Error Description: The specified URL is not owned by the application
Error Message: Invalid redirect_uri: Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.
Never mind my above post – I had added a new subdomain but forgot to put that into the allowed app webspace. So I do not get the API 191 problem now.

My work is going down, my readers are going down. Normally between 600-800 a day now 150.
I got the same problem as above. Is there a fix allready?
Till now I see NO fix. I have to change all to a other plugin that share to my Facebook page. Losing all my readres. 50 of the 800 still left. cost my a lot of all.
This plugin is DEATH. NO Fix, NO anwers from the makers.

Well Arturo, I don’t think there will be a update. There are to many problems with this plugin. If you use the name FACEBOOK then you have to be the best. But this is a big -100. The time it went good it whas OKE but by the update after the 1.0.2 it starts to be a problem. They make some changes but it become more problems. I used this one to for a newspaper on Curacao. Readers 8027 (a day) now 23-50 (a day) I lost a lot of readers. But I changed the plugin to a good one ans NO single problem. Cost me $9,99 a month. One of the members tells me a had a failer in my FB-Apps, but with the new one it seems that every ting is OKE. Even my tumbnail is coming with the head. No more double headline. no more waiting on the plugin.
Arturo; if the makers don’t even give a answer then it is very BAD and SHAME FULL.
I have been using the development version 1.03 from https://github.com/facebook/wordpress/zipball/master. It’s been running OK for a month or so. The version number in the development version code is incorrect – it still says 1.02 although it is 1.03, so I just changed that myself.
Well I got a good one now that gives me NO heading. Publishing to my fanpage and other timeline. Tomorrow I wil see Got 252 articles to go. If he HOLD that than is the plugin facebook for me history.
The new one: simple-facebook-connect is OKE. Thank GOD.
After 450 post in 1 day, evening and night it is still going doing 100% oke. No looking to the settings No disabled fanpage.
100% ??? NO 500% OKE.
