Without the ID, I got the box telling me to insert it. I don’t think the comments load properly with older versions of IE. * Keep in mind that this is Facebook’s first release of the external commenting system, so if it’s not loading properly, it’s most likely due to their implementation of it. I’ve found several bugs that are on their side already. * In the next version of this plugin, I’m going to add a [facebook-comments] tag so you can insert it anywhere you choose. This is the first release of their Social Graph widgets, so they’re bound to have problems here and there. * There is no way to merge the comments, unfortunately. I looked through the API and could find no way to add comments under someone’s name. The plugin would forget the Facebook ID and I would have to go back in and add the ID back in. After that, seems to work fine. * Cheers!!
