[Resolved] [Plugin: Facebook] Banner image cross-posted instead of post image

  • Cross-posting from WordPress to Facebook page seems to work OK, but for some reason the WordPress blog banner image is posted to the Facebook page timeline rather than the blog post image. Also, the blog post title is repeated twice, instead of title and content. Where do I configure this?

  • Forgot to mention that the blog post image is an embedded Flickr image. Maybe that is the problem?

Currently, the plugin will only use image metadata if you use the WordPress Featured Image functionality. This is to prevent conflicts with other plugins from doing “deep” searching of the content. The rest of the time, Facebook will basically guess at an appropriate image to show.

This may be improved in the future, but for now, if you want to make certain of an image showing on the Facebook post, use the Featured Image to select an image.

OK, thanks for the quick answer !
