We purchased your opengraph actions add on. First, there is no documentation. The documentation link leads to a “documentation is in progress” page. Furthermore, some of the (?) icons give the very helpful info: “Null”

Aside from all of this, the social bar does not seem to be working properly. When it is enabled and I am the test user it shows the page as being in the timeline immediately instead of after 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, it puts “news.reads” in the place of it.

I would definitely NOT recommend anyone considering buying the add on getting it because it provides NO setup or installation support at all. Maybe the developer will chime in with some help, but this is all starting to look a lot like abandonware to me.

  • I’d love to agree with you because it would make my life much easier to just chase a refund with my bank instead of waiting for the author to reply but to me, it seems mostly functional.

I obviously cannot deny that there is no documentation but as for the rest of it, when enabled on my site, it does indeed wait 10-11 seconds before publishing as an action to the timeline. Also, although it does put “news.reads” as the action within the plugin area on your site, it places “<your name> read an article” with a link to that article on the wall. You can even delete that article from the plugin section on your site and it will update your Facebook wall just as it should.

I’m not saying it’s completely functional as I haven’t been able to test every aspect of it yet and I’m not sure if “publishing actions” is supposed to do more than just “<Your name> read an article” with a link to the article (I don’t use Facebook personally – this is for a “client”) but what I’ve said above, does work with the plugin.

As I’ve said in the other thread, the only part not working right now is that the login button only works in Chrome and not in Firefox or Opera.

I’m going to wait a day or two to give the author a chance to reply before chasing my refund.

I would much rather get the support than have to request a refund. Honestly, I blame Facebook. The developer platform itself is buggy as all get out. But in general when you pay money you expect something to work.

Hi, @docarzt I am sorry, you purchased the plugin during a big update of the plugin.
Documentation was in progress, and i wasn’t present since few weeks…

Now i am ready to continue the dev of the plugin and continue the update.

To get help on the action plugin, the page of the plugin contain documentation.

I would definitely NOT recommend anyone considering buying the add on getting it because it provides NO setup or installation support at all. Maybe the developer will chime in with some help, but this is all starting to look a lot like abandonware to me.

There is a webiste, an email contact, and this forum.
Even i never receive mail from you asking some help.
So please before to post something like that, consider contact us, instead of just saying it’s not working.

Actions required more than just an install.
All your posts opengraph tags must match.
Your website should use the last version of Jquery (explain on the plugin page FAQ)
The big know issue is that if you use custom posts type, it will not work.

If you need more help, consider create an issue on git Hub, I do not like to Debug Here as it’s not linked to the code repository.
