I tried, had the same question. I wish there was a notice when plugins were taken off the directory — and why — rather than remove it completely.

My first guess is the plugin developer has walked away from the project. In the meantime, I’ve found BackupWordPress to work well and fulfill most of what EZPZ provided.

It was working yesterday – I installed it afresh on a blog.

What made me look is the date it was showing “Next scheduled backup: January 1st, 1970 @ 1:00am (Europe/London) “

That bothers me so will be taking it out of all the sites I look after, just to be on the safe side…

And thanks Bozz for the alternative suggestion.

    From the developer’s website (4/27/2012):

Do to recent changes in the Dropbox API, EZPZ One Click Backup can no longer save files to Dropbox.

I apologize but due to various reasons there will be no new versions released or further support for EZPZ OCB in the foreseeable future.

For a reliable, inexpensive alternative I recommend trying MyRepono and the MyRepono Plugin. This service, while not entirely free (the fees are as low as 2¢ a day for a small site), works great on WordPress sites as large as 5GB, maybe even larger. MyRepono gives a $5.00 credit when signing up for the service so there is no cost to try it out.

Again, I apologize to all EZPZ One Click Backup users and wish you all the best.
