After installing, the plugin would not save any info in the plugin’s admin panel. When first using it, all of the fields were populated with default values. I changed only the global password, hit “save changes”, then everything…all the of the values in every field was deleted. Every time I hit the save button, everything is erased.

Same issue here. I had v1.07 installed and v1.08 blanked out my previous settins. Just as ssorrell has noted, it will not save the settings.

Same issue here. It will not work even I re-install the plugin!!

Updated the plugin! Please update to version 1.0.9 this will fix the saving of settings issue.

@birtz – Thanks for your quick response to a great [free] plugin. I’ve since moved on to simply using the page protection built into WordPress for now.

I upgraded to v1.0.9 and the settings problem is fixed but now the password protected content won’t unlock. No cookie is set after I enter the correct password. I don’t get any other errors. This is true for Chrome and Firefox. v1.0.6 is still the last working version for me.

    Sorry, birtz!

Hi Guys! sorry for the trouble, been busy this week. Please update to v1.1.0 this should fix the cookie issue. I have tested it on my machine and it is now saving the cookies.

Latest version works we in FF, Chrome and Safari but not IE.

I’m not having any issues with IE. v1.1.0 works for me with IE 8.

I have installed it and am trying to use it to protect an error of an elementary schools area. After following the directions, I get the box to appear correctly, but when I type in the password it says “error on page”. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

    The page is located here
    http://www.stedwardschool.com/for-students-families/st-eds-directory/

I have nothing up there to protect, so temporarily the password is “test”. Please help as I think this plugin would help tremendously and the wordpress protection doesnt seem to work either.
