    @perrymyk

Out of the 3000+ unique downloads, out of hundreds of people who have contacted me, you are the only one who has said anything like this. I hear nothing but praise from almost every single user that contacts me. I have seen the lite version being used on dozens and dozens of sites with minimal effort. On top of that, you just gave up without asking for any help.

With that said, maybe you should write a plugin and see the amount of time and effort that development, customer support, and documentation takes. Looking at your posting history, all you do is download something, wait for it to magically work, something fails, hit the forum and “waste of time… what a joke… total disaster…” Have a decency and ask for help before writing irresponsible comments.

Pray tell, what has been your contribution to this community?

I have a similar problem to perrymyk above. Having followed the initial setup guide carefully. I get the following errors.

1- The calendar overview page [events_planner] showed once before I added and event. After adding an event, the calendar page URL just showed a list of events, but with no option to change the view to calendar.

2- The meta information such as LOCATION and HOSTED BY have links that all go to a 404

3- Despite having added a published page for the [events_planner] calendar, the URL for that page never shows the calendar under any circumstance.

My website is using latest wp 3.4 AND PHP 5.3 WITH PERMALINKS However, the site is in a sub-directory of the root, as a test site. so, all my URLs are mysite.com/tests/wp1/ NO other plugns are installed and I’m using the default theme.

My approach is first to thank you for this plugin that has great potential, but also to politely ask if you can resolve these issues as I have no intention of going PRO until I have a satisfactory testsite here

    Thank-you.

    Hi houseofstrauss.

Thanks very much for your interest in Events Planner. Please see my specific answers below.

1- The calendar option is only available in the PRO.

2- Please visit WP Amdin > Settings > Permalinks to flush the rewrite rules.

Events Planner works fine with WP 3.4, with or without custom permalinks. You can test drive Events Planner PRO if interested. Please let me know if you have other questions or notice issues. PRO v1.3 will be coming soon, with a lot of neat features.

    Thanks, Abel

I am also having problems with the LOCATION and HOSTED BY pages.

New events are working just fine, and it is all tested and working happily in a Paypal Sandbox, but I cannot go “live” until I resolve this issue.

The LOCATION and HOSTED BY links look great, its is very professional to have them display alongside the picture in a text box, but clicking the links takes me to a 404. Any suggestions, I tried visiting the Settings-> Permalinks page and updating but it didnt seem to work. I even updated all all of my Event Locations afterwards.

I fully respect the time and effort required for this plug-in and I like it very much! But I have to get this working before I can go live.

Just a thought, but I use Yoast SEO and I am wondering if there is an issue between this plug-ins rewrite rules and Yoast SEO rewrite rules?

    Hi nsconnolly.

That is interesting. I just installed the SEO plugin and it works fine for me. I am positive that it is a plugin or perhaps the theme. Also, please make sure you do not have a wordpress page with /location/ or /org/ slugs. Those are the custom post type slugs used by events planner. I would love to check it out. Please send an email to me from Events Planner Support and I can see what is going on.

    Thanks, Abel

Thanks Abel, I will do. SOrry its taken so long to get back to you, but I have been dealing with other sites and now I have come back to this project.
