Support » Plugin: Events Manager » [Plugin: Events Manager] Unauthorized Access – when submitting event via anon

  • Resolved muskat

I’ve just upgraded to 5.0.3 and when I’ve attempted to submit an event via the Anonymous Submission form I get the following message when I hit ‘submit event’.
    “Unauthorized Access
You do not have the rights to manage this Event.”

The event is actually being created as it is in ‘pending’ when I go into admin.
Any ideas why this message is being displayed instead of the success message I have set up in Settings?

i see it, will fix asap (today/mon)

    Thanks Marcus.

    Hi Marcus,

I have the same issue when visiting submission page as guest, except the form never shows, it just says Unauthorized Access – I have anon set as Anonymous, with Event permissions. If I am signed in, the form shows on the page. Any suggestions?

Also, google map is not fitting in the column, it is showing beyond the border. How can I move this?

    fixed in the next update

to change layouts/styling, you should either use CSS (recommended) or edit the templates/forms/event-editor.php file and move it to yourtheme/plugins/events-manager/forms/

Marcus, when do you think the next update will be released? I’m hanging out for this change. Thanks.

My apologies Marcus, I’ve just noticed it is already there.

    Thanks 🙂

Nope, still getting the same error message.
Is there any chance I’ve got something set up incorrectly?

It works fine if I’m logged in to admin and use the {event-form] but not when I’m logged out and using as an anonymous user.

will test this one and update you.

    Thanks agelonwl.
BTW my site is just in case it doesn’t replicate

The last update did not correct this for me either.

    Thank you!

what version are you on? I had the same issue before yet it worked after the fix.

    Hi Marcus,
I’ve just seen there was 5.0.42, that now fixes my problem.

    EV v. 5.0.41
    WP v. 3.3.1

    I still have the problem

Anon post is selected in settings, and anon has event contribution selected. If I give them editor status, the form works, but automatically posts events, which of course could lead to spamming!

Thank you for all your help

Updated to EM 5.0.42 – still is not working…
