Our web-site is http://www.tcgaa.ca. We run daily events in the store, and would like to post these to the calendar of events page using recurring events, but either – only post the first instance of the event to the home page, or not post it to the home page at all (only have it on the events page or calendar).

E.g., we run a board game night every Monday. I would like to set up a recurring event for this for the whole year. When I do, it creates 52 pages/posts (I’ve tried both settings) and puts them all on the home page. This effectively buries any other useful information we wanted to post.

We’re relatively new at WordPress and Events Manager – I’m hoping there is a setting I am missing somewhere. Please let me know if you need any additional information to help.

Thanks, Mike Jones – The Connection Games & Comics

How are you showing your events on your homepage?

From the looks of it your home page is including all custom post types (i see some single locations there too).

If you don’t know how, then chances are it’s your theme, you can test this by live-previewing twentyeleven and see if the home page also includes events/locations.
