[Plugin: Events Manager] Output Category Links

    Hello,

    I’ve got two little issues that I can’t seem to work out relating to categories in the Events Manager plugin.

    I want to be able to list all the events assigned to a category, so when I visit domain.com/events/category/music I get a linked list of music events, similar to the normal events listing page. At the moment, I get a list of event names but can’t click them for the details page.

    Secondly, how do I get the events page categories ‘underneath’ the events page, so I could end up with a dropdown that has events page as the parent, and the categories as children so I can use this with the dropdown menu?

    Been testing the events manager plugin for a while now, and I really really like it.

    How i can “link” events in category page ?

    I’v read docs but i can’t find solution

    I am having this trouble too; on the category page, I can’t figure out how to make the output (called by #_CATEGORYEVENTSNEXT?) contain a link. I’ve been through the documentation, but can’t seem to find where the help you describe is. Can you point me at it?

    I am having the same issue and have gone through the Plugin Help file and all the info on the plugin site. The Help file only lists other shortcodes to use. Doesn’t explain how to create a Category Link List. Has anyone found a solution to this? If so please share. Thanks.

    Same problem here. I have checked in the Docs on http://wp-events-plugin.com and on the plugin’s help page.

    On the plugin’s help page these are the options are listed for Category related placeholders:
    #_CATEGORYNAME
    #_CATEGORYID
    #_CATEGORYIMAGE
    #_CATEGORYIMAGEURL
    #_CATEGORYNOTES

    Please note that #_CATEGORYEVENTSNEXT is not even listed.

    It would be ideal to have a category placeholder equivalent of #_EVENTLINK so that the events listed on the single category page will link to their single event page.

    Are we not getting help because this is something only supported for Pro users? Is this something we need to write some sort of custom add-on for? Are we just overlooking the answer? Or is the answer simply not listed there?

    I am currently struggling with the same issue. There is no documentation on #_CATEGORYEVENTSNEXT that I can find. I figured I would just edit the code to do what I like for this shortcode, but I am also having a hard time trying to locating where it is set in the code. A bit frustrating really, as a event list with no links rather useless.

    Has anyone been able to find a solution to this?

    there’s a bug with the placeholder naming for that, mistyped the placeholders in the instructions. the dev version is updated already and will update the plugin probably today too

    I am having the same problem as described and I can not figured out if it is possible to get a list of events belonging to a given category.

    Has this issue been dealt with in the 5.x version or is it still not possible? or is it possible in the pro version..?

    category ids can be obtained from the URL where you edit a single category in wp-admin
