• Hi There,

I’m looking to put multiple images into my events postings but there is no gallery setting within the image uploader. Ideally I would upload a gallery. I really don’t want to upload and insert full sized images into the description area.

Any help would be greatly appreciate!

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

  • Hi,

Currently EM 4 is limited with regards to uploading multiple images however you could used other plugin e.g. nextGen then insert its shortcode to your event description.

you won’t ever (or at least for a long time) get a ‘gallery’ option in EM, but as angelonwl said, you can link other gallery plugins to this by using shortcodes or coding in something yourself to tie them together.

Huh? I thought you were already about to change events to posts. Will your new “custom post types” not support standard WP galleries? Yikes, another reason to prefer using regular posts instead of custom post types. (Yes, this is the axe I grind relative to another calendar plugin.)

not sure if custom posts support galleries (if they do, then they should), but the way I see it, gallery plugins should deal with this issue rather than EM, especially once events are custom posts.

Okay, thanks. I’m still trying to use the native WP gallery support as much as possible, since the plugins all have their own issues. It’s actually working pretty well, helped a little by a lightbox plugin. (I mean in general; haven’t tried it with Event Manager.)

agreed r.e. native gallery support 🙂

Any progress with this? I’m looking for a simple solution to be able to have multiple images associated with each event as well.

I want a user to be able to select multiple images at the time they create a listing using a front end creat listing form.

events are custom post types, so you should be able to use another plugin or hook into the EM plugin via your theme somehow.

We haven’t started on this yet (probably won’t for a while, since you can get good results with stuff like this for example – http://demo.wp-events-plugin.com/events/santana-20/)
