can you try to reselect it under EM settings > events page or try create new page then select it as events page.

I have reselected the events page in events manager but its still the same. Just to confirm - I dont need to add any code to the events page do i? - I have assumed it would just add the events listing to the page automatically

can you try to deactivate temporarily your other plugin and change to default theme so that we could determine if there's a conflict.

Its the only plugin installed but I have just disabled the theme and chosen 2011 and its exactly the same. Its probably a basic thing which I need to do but have not done. I have installed the plugin, entered an event and then expect this to appear on the events page - I havent added any code to the events page. This may be unrelated but i know the plugin is operating as when I go to the events page I can see the title which is set in the Events Format section ie if I enter events will enter below as the events page title in the Events Format section then this is shown. However the table which should display the events below is not working. hence I guess I need to tick a box or insert some code into the template to get them to appear.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge but its the first time using this plugin. Hence if you have assumed I must have done steps 1 - 4 then please remind me because it may be I havent

    Thanks

can you try to uninstall the plugin and delete the page it create?

I have progressed further. I have deleted the plugin and reinstalled and now the events are showing but they are not formatted well - just a string concatenated together and not in the table that the plugin suggests they will be. Also the event that has more info entered in the more info box is displaying with a read more link but this link doesnt have a url and hence loads the event page again.

Thus not sure what I am doing wrong

Ok with the default 2011 theme its working. It is maybe how I have built the theme. In the 2011 default theme the events are shown in a table but when I use my theme the table is not displayed and the text for the events is just inserted into a paragraph.

Thus please could you tell me what elements from the default theme that I need to insert into my theme to enable it to work properly.

    Thanks

you can inspect each element using firebug or even chrome has it. In this way you can analyze what to be included in your theme based on 2011.

Sorry to be a pain - I can appreciate I can use firebug but I am not sure what I am looking for. I would think that the events manager would create the html output and the theme would simply style it with css. However the actual html output appears to be different and hence I am presuming it something related to the functions.php file but could you confirm please

no problem - if you really want to work on EM css here's the file \events-manager\includes\css be sure to backup everything first.

Sorry to be a pain with this but I dont think its a css issue. I appreciate that the css could style a table, div etc. However there is no table to style - its just text displayed in a <p> tag. Hence I am presuming its a javascript file that I am missing in the theme as regardless of what css i put in to style the code, the code is not present in the first place??

events shouldn't be shown as a table by default....

if you see extra p tags, is it in your description of the event only?
