[Resolved] [Plugin: Events Manager] Duplicating Event, URL name remains constant

    Hi,
I use the Plugin Events Manager v. 5.1.6 and it works fine, it’s amazing!

But I see a bug when I duplicate an event. The name of the event is e.g. ‘Broad jump in New York’. The URL for this event is as a consequence ‘http://…/broad-jump-in-new-york/’.

Now I duplicated this event I mentioned above. But the title of the event is now ‘Discus Throwing in Seattle’. But the URL to this event is now ‘http://…/broad-jump-in-new-york-2/’. But it should be ‘http://…/discus-throwing-in-seattle/’.

How can this be changed to the correct URL when saving the new event?

    Thanks for help,
    Thorsten

    hi,

have you tried using the Quick Edit then change the event slug?

    Hi,
yes I tried using the quick edit and changed the event slug. But it is a hard work to change everybody’s event slug by hand. It would be better, if this would happen once I save an event – or not?

Is there any chance for this?

this is just the way WP works, once you have a slug, you need to manually change it.

you could do this with some PHP code, but don’t think we’d implement this

Thanks for your hint but it does not help me much.
