[Resolved] [Plugin: Events Manager] Datepicker flashes on load before being hidden

  • The jQuery datepicker used when adding or editing events flashes when its loaded. Normally this is hard to notice as it flashes below all other HTML on the page, but after switching to a minimal add event template on our site the bug is now very visible.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Go to the end of page http://demo.wp-events-plugin.com/submit-your-event/
    2. Refresh the page (Ctrl-R makes sure the CSS is reloaded as well)
    3. Most of the time you’ll see the calendar flashing under all everything else in the page.

As our site now has an add event page where the bottom of the page is visible on page load, the bug is very visible for our users.

  • hi, I tried the steps but wasn’t able to reproduced the issue; do you have a sample link of your site?

good chance that this is plugin/theme related, the datepicker is loaded as per jQuery standards

I was able to reproduce it on the demo site, so it’s not specific to our site. However, something in the browser-side might affect it. It makes sense to assume so for now; I’ll return to the topic if I find it to be reproducible with other browser configurations. Marking as resolved.
