# [Plugin: Events Manager] Category Count Limitations?

 * Is there a limit as to the number of Categories that can be entered into the 
   list?
    I tried entering two new events this morning and they don’t fit into any
   existing category, so I attempted to create a new one. It didn’t seem to work.
   The new categories I tried to create don’t show up in the drop-down list. Also,
   when I tried to create the new category, it didn’t show up in the list. Instead
   the ‘create new category button showed up in the list. Before trying to create
   the new list, I had only eight existing categories. I’m using v.5.1.8.5 free 
   version.

 * Okay, I think I found a partial answer:
    If I create the new category from the
   Categories Page (duh!), it all works. However, that still leaves open the issue
   that when trying to create a category from the Add New Event or the Add New Recurring
   Event pages, it does not work. I have to think something is still wrong there.
   Not sure if it is a configuration issue or a code issue.

 * You can also create a new events category at Events > Event Categories
