# [Plugin: Events Manager] categories

 * 1) i have a custom code that search random posts from any categories i select
   within the code using ids… but code cant find any category i create within ur
   events category manager (and of course im using the id that the cat-man gives
   me)
 * 2) i created once in ur cat-man a category named the same as my main category,
   cat-man identified id as 1, but when i was clicking on the category menu on the
   website… it just appears wp posts from that category but not events posts from
   cat-man (i ensure my self that posts in event-man had a cat of course) but i 
   last i opted to quit my wp cat and just leave the same category but only in the
   cat-man…

 * 1. does you custom code supports custom taxonomies? here is a sample snippet –

 * the custom code just looks for any numbers of posts using a normal wp array (‘
   numberposts=5&category=XX,XX,XX’)
 * and talking about formats… of course i have that on… if thats off i cant see 
   google maps inside events and locations posts, but didnt see anymore changes 
   elsewhere if i turn that off
 * other thing i forgot to tell u…
    if i insert in cat-man, a category that’s already
   within wp cat’s, i get the same id of wp in the cat-man, but code still looks
   just for original wp posts and not regarding that the events posts ahs the same
   id
 *  code has been tested and used since wp 3.0 till now, hardly to beleive it can
   be the code, but ill use a normal wp code for a moment to get that id and see
   if gets response, if not, ill try the link u sent and add that to the themes 
   funcs (i dont know if my theme supports taxonomies, but at least i know that 
   theres nothing about that in the funcs cause this theme i made it myself from
   ground, so i dont have rare codes in it from other developers)
