 * you’d just create a manual link using HTML to the page with your submission form.

 * ok but with buddypress, i see the “add new” only in members pages…

 * that’s where we do it, but you can just add that HTML elsewhere provided the 
   link is correct
 * if you want the actual form, use [events_form] or see Settings > Pages > Other
   Pages
