[Plugin: Events Manager] Add events to main loop – but only past events?

  • I’m using events manager at my new baseball site, http://www.msti.co. As you can see, I’m using it for baseball games, which you can see in the top header area.

Since I’m showing upcoming schedule, I need to have event posts published in advance of when they actually need to appear on the site, which means I can’t set the entire custom post type to appear in the loop (which I know how to do), because then all you’d see are events for weeks in advance.

What i’m doing now is using a plugin called “Sticky Custom Post Type” to get the active game to be sticky for a few hours, then unsticking it when the game is over.

That’s fine and all, but I’d prefer not to lose the completed events from view when they’re over. So what I’m asking is, is there a way to get these events to display on the home page, but only past events, not ALL events?

  • I can’t access your site? however you have to allow your theme to display custom post type (CPT) or display a static page on your home page and use a shortcode [events_list scope=”past”]
