I recently upgraded to WP 3.4.1 and EM 5.1.8.5. On links starting with “events/”, a 404 error occurs. For eg; events/categories and events/tags both give 404 as well as my submission page events/submit-an-event gives 404. If I put the permalink to top level, ie. /submit-an-event/, it works fine.

Another issue I’m having is pagination. They don’t seem to work after the upgrade.

I’ve fixed the pagination issue. I had a copy of template in the theme folder which needed modifications.

Now with the 404 errors. I’ve tried flushing rewrite cache. I’ve saved permalink settings on event manager settings multiple times. I’m clueless as to why 404 is being thrown on a valid page URL.

how about if you create brand new pages and assign those as new event pages? you can call them whatever you want to begin with, reassign them in EM settings, and test them out, just to see if it works.

Then, you can rename the slugs etc. of these pages and make them children of the events page, hopefully it’ll still work.

have you tried disabling your other plugins and reverting to the 20 11 theme , then saving your permalinks settings again to see if it works?

I have a client that is apparently having this problem as well. Only I cannot replicate it but the insist that sometimes when they click on a pagination link from the events page, they get a 404 and sometimes they do not. Is this even possible? Any thoughts on technically how the same link can sometimes throw a 404 and sometimes not would be much appreciated.
