Missed a second set of g/Gs

Hey I’m having the same problem and don’t understand what g/G’s are. And I’m not seeing an option to change to 12-hour time in the first place.. any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can change time format at WP Setting > General and at EM Settings > Events Format > Default single event format or Default event list format; also use placeholder @ http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/placeholders/

thanks! So I’d seen that link before couldn’t really figure it out so just in case someone else has this question here’s what I did:

Under EM Settings > Events Format > Default event list format

    I replaced

    #H:#i-#@H:#@i

    with

    #_12HSTARTTIME - #_12HENDTIME

    Thanks phillbd
Yeah it seemed that changing the #H:#i-#@H:#@i (what do the letters mean?)

with #_12HSTARTTIME – #_12HENDTIME would change the 12 hour to 24 hour time.

I have just started using Events manager and it would be nice if there there were accordian tabs (closing the lesser used ones) leaving the most used open.

It should be more obvious how to change to 24 hours and changing the currency.
Changing the date from US to European as in changing the month and date around.

The more I look at it the more I appreciate it!

Hmm I am not getting this to work.
Where do I change the 12 hour -> 24 hour time?
Should be a simple process of doing so….

What about adding 12 and 24 hour time to General Options as a drop down box?
And the date format dd/mm/yyyy or the other way around for the US market.

Did you follow as @phillbd did? also where do you want to apply this in events list or single event?

@paaljoachim the dates are generated according to your WPLANG setting.

    see http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/placeholders/ for time placeholders

I have exactly the same problem…
… but in a different screen.

I changed output to 24 hours setting thats all fine and EM displays perfectly.
However if I do a ADD NEW EVENT, the box “Event time” shows:
12:00 AM – 12:00 AM as default. ( The time of the event beginning and end).

This default is pretty weird of us here in Europe.

    a) How can I change this to something like a 24 hour format?

    b) How could I insert a time picker for the two fields , to make it easier to select time for the user?

Got it to work, but as your saying spabav it looks weird for us here in Europe to have to write am/pm time in the backend.

    I’ll add queston c…:)
    c)
This seems like a very easy question. The frondend will say something like 11:00, 18:00. How can be change this to 11:00 – 18:00 with a dash in it.

Ultimately, the better way is to have in the right panel a toggle option from 12 to 24 hours, this way you do not have to set the WP lang global to either 12 h or 24h to satisfy EM’s scheduling. When you select which format, all the corresponding time format is available to you while scheduling.

Notice that it detects your local time.

Now you can format times and dates used in #_EVENTDATES #_EVENTTIMES in the settings > formats/templates tab

Yes, I see time adjustments. That does not achieve what I mentioned above as the ultimate.

The problem is when others have difficulty with converting 24 military time to 12 hour. I would hope for a solution that addresses this, when more events are virtual and world wide.
