    Hi !
Your plugin is really cool but I think quite young :)
When wordpress is installed in a subfolder like http://mywebsite.org/folder/ all the places shows a 404 page when pointing to the permalink. Eveything is ok with events.
Although, some improvement could be :
    - using leaflet (openstreemap) instead of google map
    - add a town field in places (to get it separatly in templates)
    - separate date and hours fields in the mediabox of an event (the current is not really intuitive).

It's just advices :) Sorry I've no time for now to patch your code. Hope you'll get time for this.

    Thx !

    Hi dway,
Thanks for the feedback. Regarding location permalinks - the venues are just taxonomy terms, and so WordPress handles all the permalinks. (EO does allow you to provide a 'pretty permalinks' for events, venues, categories etc, but you will need to 'flush' your re-write rules by visiting Settings > Permalinks page for these to work)

To be clear, I have a demo site installed on a subdirectory and it works fine :).

R.e. openstreetmap - someone recently recommended this to me after Google Maps tried taking me down a road that doesn't exist anymore...

R.e. extra fields - this is a planned feature :), but I'm waiting on a WordPress trac since it'll require database restructuring (dbDelta has bug currently).

R.e. seperate date/time fields .... they are seperate. Do you mean having them on a seperate line? I'm happy with the UI as it is - I think it's obvious where the date/time has to go (and it's usually pre-populated anyway).

    Hi Stephen :)

Well, I've reinstalled and retry the location....it's working now.... don't know why. I've reflushed permalinks dozens time before reinstalling without succes... anyway, it's working :)
Ok for the other replies !

For openstreetmap, it's offen more precised than google map. But more important, it's opensourced :) And you can style maps using cloudmade editor : http://maps.cloudmade.com/editor :)

You can still use google map geo-resolution for finding lat/lon for postal adresses because the current openstreetmap api is too poor.

    thx for your time !

I like the style editor :). I shall at some point migrate from GoogleMaps to openstreemap - but I think I will hold off for now. It seems with openstreemap I could allow people to set the map's style in the shortcode which is a +1 (I also like the decent CSS3 pop-ups - Google is a nightmare). But as you mentioned the API needs improving - in particular there doesn't seem to be any documentation regarding dragging markers (a little known fact - on the venue admin page you can drag the marker and it updates the lat/lng).

You need Leaflet to control openstreetmap data : http://leaflet.cloudmade.com/, powerfull and well documented !
I've made some websites with this, like this one : http://nimes.labomedia.org. I'm sure you'll fall in love with leaflet :)
