    I have encountered a problem with the automatic email response after I changed a setting in the Ogone.php.

    Since I am not allowed to withdraw money from my customers until the product has been dispatched I went and changed the code in eshop/ogone.php from OPERATION=SAL to OPERATION=RES so that the money is reserved instead of withdrawn immediately.

    Before the change, emails were sent successfully. After the change the customer stopped receiving any emails and I would receive an email which said that the transaction was unsuccessful. However, now I have stopped receiving emails all together (not sure if I changed a setting or if it was a wordpress update that made them stop).

    My question is – can I change the coding in any way so that the above command reads as a successful sale and thereby send the automatic email to my customer?

    don’t changing the code. Changing that setting affects other things and eShop will almost certainly reject it every time.

    But I have to. According to Danish law I am not allowed to withdraw money until the product has been dispatched. And since it is a small shop we can not guarantee that the order is shipped the same day as it is received.

    Everything else seems to be working fine – every test purchase I have made has been registered without problems. It is only the automatic email which is not send.

    What other things does the change I made supposedly affect?

    Try switching to the Cash pseudo gateway and handling all transactions manually.
