  • Hi mikmikmik,

Please try again with the latest version and tell me if this solves your issue.

    Regards,

    James

Is there any documentation on the whole process? I’m having the same problem.
    Have tried reinstalling.

    Thanks

    aeond,

Could you please tell me which version of the plugin your are using?
Also, which version of wordpress are you using?

    Regards,

    James

I’m using Version 0.8.1 of the plugin and 3.4 of wordpress.
I also reverted back to my 3.3.2 version of wordpress and same problem.

I did get a login screen for my “hidden” client section but I couldnt log in.

If I type something into the field and hit enter I get an alert –

(“There has been an error, please try again”)

    Hey again.. 🙂

I’m just reading your blog post on –
    http://www.electricstudio.co.uk/2011/11/wordpress-client-login-plugin/

And I noticed that I need to give the user the role of “client”, however this role does not appear in my drop-down list on the user profile page. Have I missed a step?

    Hey Mate,

    Just thought I’d update you.
Seeing as my site was simply in development, I made a back and deleted everything to start from scratch. This seemed to have solved the problem and everything works amazing now!!

This plugin save my life and hours of frustration! Thank you!

    🙂

    Hi aeond,

Glad to here you got that to work, I couldn’t replicate the problem on my dev installs!

    Regards,

    James

    Hey again,

Just thought I’d update you on what I have done for future updates.
Initially when I installed the plugin, I had the problem mentioned above, however the database was populated with the new tables. I believe that the theme I was using was also clashing a bit. I started afresh and created/populated your plugin first, this seemed to do the trick. However, if I deactivate/delete the plugin after everything else (plugins/themes etc) are applied, then reactivate your plugin, same problem occurs, so I assume that this is some sort of bug, but my php knowledge is limited for me to point you in a more specific direction. Just thought you may be interested in some feedback.

If you’re a noob like me, I’d recommend setting this plugin before you do anything else. 🙂

Overall this is an awesome plugin that has helped me allot!

    Thanks!
    D
