[Resolved] [Plugin: Editorial Calendar] In mid-October, shows October as a passed month

  • I have the issue that during the last few days I haven’t been able to drag-and-drop reschedule any posts for November. The days are all grayed out as they’d be history. Today, on 15.10.2012, the first white (current or future) date is 15.11.2012, a month in the future.

Other parts of the WordPress site function fine. Scheduled posts were published on the correct days and so forth. Only the calendar view of Editorial Calendar shows this anything wrong, and only in this way.

  • Found out the cause to be (partially) with the computer clock having gone one month ahead.

However, maybe it’s worth fixing this in the plugin so that it doesn’t use the user’s time but the server’s time.

Thanks for using the Editorial Calendar. I’m glad you found a solution for your issue.

It’s tricky to rely on the server’s time because it might be very different from the client. If the server is in China and the client is in the USA then the two will be a day apart 50% of the time.

    Thanks,
    Zack
