# Plugin Editor Not Showing

 * So running into an interesting issue. The Editor choice under the Appearance 
   is showing but it is not showing under the Plugins menu. I tried looking for 
   any call to define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true ); but wasn’t able to find any
   call to this. Anyone know why one would show but not the other?

 * Does this also continue to happen if you disable all the active plugins and/or
   change to the default theme? It’s possible there is a strange conflict happening,
   or perhaps one plugin added in some code to remove that, but I agree that seems
   very unusual and I’ve not come across that particular issue before without intentionally
   removing it of course.

 * I have disabled all plugins, as well as changed from one 201* theme to multiple
   different ones. Confirmed no extra files being run in the plugins directory. 
   Also overwrote all files with brand new ones from the wordpress 4.2.2 zip file.
