[Resolved] [Plugin: Edit Flow] Feature requests

    @erikajurney

    I’m loving edit flow, and I have a couple of suggestions/requests.

    I was previously using Editorial Calendar to see what posts I had scheduled each week, and with that plugin you’re able to drag-and-drop posts around on the calendar. There’s also a quick way to edit the scheduled publication time from that screen without going to the full edit page. Any plans for something like that?

    A minor request: on the calendar could you please give the different post statuses (draft, pending…) different CSS values? I’d love to be able to style them so I can see at a glance if there are drafts I need to schedule etc.

    And on the emails which get sent, I’d love to see the URL of the referenced post included. I just got notified that a scheduled post was published, and if the email included a link to the published post it would be really handy.

    Thanks for your time, and I’m loving Edit Flow so far!
    Erika

    We’re looking at a number of different ways to improve the calendar and inline editing is definitely one of them. The CSS classes is also a great idea.

    As for emails, a link to the post is already included in all the emails. You should see a “View Post” link for published posts and a “Preview Post” link for unpublished ones.

    Thanks for the ideas and glad you like the plugin! 🙂

    Glad to hear about possible updates to the calendar! Here’s the email I’m referring to:

    Post #19495 “ZZZ” was published by WordPress Scheduler

    Scheduled => Published

    ——————–

    Post Details:
    Title: ZZZ
    Author: ZZZ (ZZZ)

    ——————–
    The following email has been sent to you because you are following the post “ZZZ”

    Try Handmade | http://ZZZ.com | http://ZZZ.com/wp-admin/

    And there are no links in it… I’m guessing it is because I checked ‘always get notifications’ and this post wasn’t written by me?

    Thanks,
    Erika

    Thanks for passing along the email, Erika!

    That’s definitely a bug (caused by a fix that we added to 0.6 :P). It should only happen to scheduled posts, though. We’ll have this fixed for the next release.

    Hi Erika,

    Are you still seeing this issue in the latest version of Edit Flow?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Looks good now – thanks!
