# [Plugin: Edit Flow] Custom Post Status

 * Hello,
 * I have been testing the Edit Flow plugin and am searching for a way to allow 
   certain users to be able to change the post status without having the permission
   to publish a post. I found this closed forum thread which addresses it to some
   extent, but was wondering if the feature has been added?

 * I do see that you can change this using the “Quick Edit” feature of a post, but
   when I actually edit the post via the main post interface, there’s no option 
   to change the post status when a user lacks the “publish_posts” permission.

 * Nope, it’s unfortunately a limitation of WordPress code we haven’t gotten around
   to working around yet.
 * I have [two possible fixes outlined](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-edit-flow-authors-limited-to-submitting-posts-with-only-the-draft-status?replies=3#post-2552197)
   and would love to hear what you think of them on that thread.
