[Plugin: EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Builder] Embed HTML generation + transition changes (6 posts)

    Impressive plugin!

I've set up a rotator successfully, but the only HTML code viewable is "[easyrotator]erc_40_1339472082[/easyrotator]" (without quotes). How do I generate the HTML to embed in a template?

Also, I can't see how to modify the transition type and speed, i.e. slide vs. fade, duration, etc. This is going to be VERY important to our director in charge of our website.

    Best regards,

I've answered my own questions above and have more:

The HTML code to embed should be viewable from the editor and explained clearly in the help in many areas, I had to hunt. It's:
    <?php easyrotator_display_rotator('erc_00_000000000'); ?>
(12 digit code changed in above example)

Fading is a premium option, we'll purchase a license.

    New questions:
    1) Is the connection to remy.github.com yours? Are there any other connections it depends on?

    2) How do I control the level of transparency for the text (template #'s 3 and 4)?

    3) If there's no title or no description, we want only the image to appear. It's still rendering a single dark blank line. How do we fix this?

    ... and opacity/transparency is solved. It's a float specifying alpha "(background:rgba(0,0,0,0.3);" - the 0.3 is opacity.

I think I'm left with needing a conditional check for blank text and we'll be golden.

I think your signature is against the WordPress.org forum rules. It is for marketing purposes to post your site's link and your Twitter handle like that... Your posts should be removed.

Wasn't aware of that. I was signing it for reasons of common courtesy. Doesn't seem possible to edit or remove, else I would - an admin can feel free to.

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for using EasyRotator. Can you please confirm what you're referencing when you mention the "remy.github.com connection"?

Regarding the title/description issue, are you using the default template (with thumbnails at the bottom and a white arrow on the current photo)? If so, there's a template update coming soon that will make the box automatically be hidden when there's no text for a given slide. If you need this feature right now, open a support ticket at http://www.dwuser.com/ and we can help you make the appropriate code updates now.

If I've missed any questions, please let me know :-)

    Drew O'Neill
