Wp 2.9.1 with WPML 1.7.0
Wp 2.9.1 with WPML 1.7.0
Sounds like you don't see the "link list" drop down as shown in the screenshot at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-page-link-for-wpml/screenshots/ right?
When you are editing a page, do you have the WPML language selector drop down in the top right area?
Yes i have.
If you don't mind can you download easy-page-link-for-wpml-troubleshoot.zip and install that for troubleshooting purposes?
The new code should generate a popup when you try to make a link. The popup should say "icl_post_language drop down = xx" where xx is your language code.
If that works then the link list drop down should have a "found x pages" item listed as the first choice when you click on it.
I'm very curious to know if it can figure out your language code and then if it can find one or more pages to link to.
Sorry for the hassle but its very hard to troubleshoot things remotely so hopefully this will help. :)
Hi, Thanks for effort, I installed and made a link, no popup... but i did get one option dropdown "found 7 pages", my default lang code is en, the other languages are es, pl, it, de, fr.
Say, what web browser are you using when you made a link?
Oh and I assume you are using the default TinyMCE editor included with WordPress yes?
FF 3.6, Default TinyMCE editor with this plugin tinymce-advanced
Aha, think I found the issue.
Can you try the latest troubleshooting build at easy-page-link-for-wpml-troubleshoot-2.zip?
If it works you should get a popup with the langauge selected before adding a link now, even if you are using the TinyMCE Advanced plugin. The link list after will have real page names in it now too.
If that all works I'll publish the next version for everyone to use.
Many thanks for helping me troubleshoot this issue. :)
I'm happy to help!
I'm getting the right current language (en) but not the select
I capture the screen together with firebug info
Try out the latest build easy-page-link-for-wpml-troubleshoot-3.zip which has a lot of fixes and improvements.
No more popups this time since I think we got that link button squared away.
I am curious to know if the link list shows anything in this build.
If it doesn't could you open up your /wp-content/plugins/easy-page-link-for-wpml/easy-page-link-for-wpml.php in a browser and see if there are any error messages?
If there are no errors could you try going to /wp-content/plugins/easy-page-link-for-wpml/easy-page-link-for-wpml.php?lc=en and send me all the text there? This code is what gets fed to TinyMCE for the link list and if it's off by just a little it won't show up properly.
No select yet,
When I call ?lc-en I get:
var tinyMCELinkList = new Array( ["Home", "http://www.mydomain.com"], ["My App", "http://www.mydomain.com/app/"], ["About", "http://www.mydomain.com/about/"], ["How to", "http://www.mydomain.com/how-to/"], ["News", "http://www.mydomain.com/news/"]["Support", "http://www.mydomain.com/support/"], );
Code missing one comma before last link
Oh yeah, bad comma.
Ok new build to try easy-page-link-for-wpml-troubleshoot-4.zip
If it doesn't work can you post the output of ?lc-en again? Its very helpful.
Yes! Working now!!
Thanks again for all the troubleshooting help.
Everyone can benefit from our efforts. :)
Sure thing. community power :)
hmmm... installed WMPL and easy-page-link-for-wpml-0.0.4 but no 'link-list' appears. When i use the 'normal' AWS it works, but in need the wpml support.
wp version 2.9.2.
could you help me out here?
oh, i use FireFox 3.6.2
I found the glitch:
the folder is called 'easy-page-link-for-wpml-0.0.4'
on line 65 the script calls for '/wp-content/plugins/easy-page-link-for-wpml/easy-page-link-for-wpml.php?lc='
You need to strip the '-0.0.4' from the folder name to make it work.
mb you should change the name of the folder?
Ooh I packaged the zips on ForestMist.org incorrectly. (Assuming you downloaded it from there.)
The updated zip is available now although to rule out any cache issues download it the WordPress plugin repository just to make sure.
Thank you for reporting the issue along with a fix. :)
I'm experiencing the same problem with
The same was happening before using
Firefox 3.6.13, Chrome, Opera on Linux.
