    Hello!
Great plugin. Thank you for the work that goes into this!

I’m in the middle of building a site built with wordpress custom template pages.

This plugin works great for any image that ISN’T part of the blog portion.

If you go to the blog and click an image or youtube video, it doesn’t work. Can anyone help me out with this? I have “auto” set to all images and videos by the way

The site in question is at http://thewoodstock.co.za/blog

    Thank you!

  • Hi, I cannot find any (non-working) examples in your blog section. Could you give me a link?

Oh, I’m sorry! I thought this was supposed to work with youtube videos as well?

Well here is a post with an image as well. It won’t open within the fancybox.

    Thank You in advance!

oops, sorry that did not work for some reason.

    Here is the link: http://thewoodstock.co.za/photo-shoot-with-russel-wasserfall/

Please understand that FancyBox only attaches itself to (and gets triggered by) LINKS, not simply images or embedded movies.

So you are talking about the image on that page? Currently, it is linked to an attachment page, which is a page and not an image. When you insert an thumbnail image in a post, be sure to choose the option to link to the full size image file itself and not to the attachment page.

And when you want to make a Youtube movie come up in FancyBox, you need to create a link to the Youtube page instead of just inserting the naked URL. In that last case, WordPress will embed the movie on the page itself instead.

Another issue I notice is that your theme is loading the jquery library from Google right before WordPress loads its own version of the jQuery library. This might also cause issues. Please remove the (probably) hard-coded line <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.2/jquery.min.js"></script> from your themes header.php template.

If you want to make WordPress use the Google hosted jQuery libraries, you can use a simple and easy plugin like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/use-google-libraries/
