    Hi, if you are working on raw HTML files, you need more that just a class. You need to include all the FancyBox script files and you are no longer in the warm and cozy realm of comfort of any WordPress plugin 😉

    You can get the files you need and read all basics about how to integrate the naked version of FancyBox in your static site pages on http://fancybox.net/ or get a licence for version 2 on http://fancyapps.com/fancybox/

    Ok ,
    I think I will read more and stay on the safe side
    Thank you very much

    I am editing html directly on page html editor;

    Or did I misunderstand that statement? Are you saying you are using the so called Rich Text Editor (RTE or the View tab) or otherwise known as TinyMCE inside WordPress?

    If so, then you need to either enable auto-detection for Youtube links in the FancyBox settings (this is the easiest option) … or … switch to the HTML tab to manually add the class fancybox-youtube to the link. The RTE does not allow you to add a class to a normal link.

    Only thumbnails that are linked can be given a class. In that case, click the thumbnail and then the Edit icon that appears over it. Then in the new window, go to Advanced and find the Link section. Add the class fancybox-youtube in the class field there.
