[Resolved] [Plugin: Easy FancyBox] Redirect iframe behavior for responsive websites

  • Hi there,
I’m working on a responsive layout, and the iframe features of this plugin work great for larger resolutions. However, when the layout gets small or goes to a tablet-fiendly version, the iframe no longer fits the screen properly. For smaller resolutions, is there a way to have the iframe content open in a new window instead of an iframe? I suppose I’m looking for an ‘if statement’ to go into functions.php that would overwrite the iframe action, but I’m not sure exactly. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi,

There is currently no straight-forward way to do this. You could use relative sizes (use %) for iframes but that might not suit your wishes on larger screens…

Thanks. I appreciate the response. I have the window set to 95%, and it often does fit on tablets, etc. The main issue is with the inner content when it overflows the frame. If you try to use the scrollbars within the iframe, like on a tablet, they don’t work at all. That’s why I thought opening in a new window for small resolutions would be a better solution.

Which would indeed be a good solution… I’ll consider it for a future release 🙂

Good deal, thanks. I have a workaround in place, setting some of the plugin-related divs to inline so that the content scrolls. It’s not perfect, but it’s fair for now. A built in solution in future would be appreciated! Thanks and have a great day.
