I’m working on our business web page. What I would like to do is provide a link for a visitor to click that says “portfolio”, and have a fancy box popup that allows the visitor to scroll through the pdf examples of my desktop publishing work and then just close it when they’re done but still be on the same page.

Maybe fancy box can’t do this, but I thought I’d ask.

  • You can use FancyBox to show one pdf document in an overlay at a time. Browsing more than one without closing the overlay and opening a new one is not possible (well theoretically it is but you will need to jump through some hoops to make the navigation arrows show left and right of the frame because else they will be hidden and navigation is not possible), unless you can find an external online viewer that can do this for you… Or… if you merge the different pdf’s into one.

FancyBox is just a fancy way of presenting media that could otherwise be embedded normally in your site content.
