[resolved] tags missing in posts after migration (4 posts)

Duplicator is great! No question! Saved me a huge amount of time migrating my site to a new web hosting server. But the migrated site has been stripped of all its <P> tags in posts, so all the text just runs together.

To see what I mean, compare these two pages:

    Old site - http://traveltipsthailand.com/chiang-mai/chiang-mai-travel-guide/
    New site - http://1travelthailand.com/chiang-mai/chiang-mai-travel-guide/

You'll see the old site has nice paragraphs in the text, but the migrated site has long blocks of text with no line breaks. Code view shows the new site has no <p> tags, but still has line breaks in the code.

How can I fix this? Did I miss a setting in the installer?

Thanks in advance for any help. Big fan of this plugin otherwise.

    Hey websupportguy,

Very interesting never seen this before. If you want to submit a help ticket I can take a look at your packaged data to validate. If you want to check on your own you can open up the database.sql in the package and check your post data. This is a direct copy of your data before the installer re-installs.

After you run the install.php file a new database script is created called install-data.sql. You can check that file to see if the paragraph tags still reside. This will help to isolate where the issue might be happening.

Turns out it was a corrupted plugin (Headspace) that caused the problem. When I removed that, the WPAUTOP function was restored and the <p> tags re-appeared.

    But thanks for replying!
