# [Plugin: Duplicator] Character problem

 * Hello.

 * I read FAQ and did:
    1. When creating a package uncheck the checkbox ‘Enable 
   database encoding’ from the options dialog 2. When running the installer make
   sure the checkbox for ‘Enable MySQL character set’ is checked
 * Tested 0.3.0 and 0.3.1 versions. In 0.3.1 there is no chekbox ‘Enable MySQL character
   set’ when running the installer.

 * Hey Repka,
 * Its now under the Advanced Options link in the installer. Click the link to show
   the checkbox. Also there is a hot fix added to support the character sets correctly
   with mysqli see the [changlog here](http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-log).
   You will need to download that latest version in the developer line in order 
   for the conversion to take place correctly.
